SMART REAGENT MANAGEMENT
LOGOS EVO is equipped with a smart reagent management system that simplifies the work and prevents errors. Replacement of the tanks is smooth and safe. The system operates with commercial tanks, avoiding the transfer of reagents, resulting in easy replacement and negligible downtime. The use of dedicated connectors and the scanning of the reagents’ barcodes ensure an error-free and tracked process. The LOGOS EVO substantially minimizes the use of reagents and also allows the use of green alternatives: Milestone MileONE and MileTWO are alternative reagents for the dehydration and clearing of fatty tissues, enhancing operator safety and offering a more environmentally friendly approach.
INTUITIVE USER INTERFACE
The LOGOS EVO is equipped with a smart icon-driven software that guides the user through the entire protocol to select the right parameters. For routine operations, favourite protocols are quickly recalled and started. All parameters, reagents and cassette information is collected for a complete documentation. An automatic pre-start check ensures the proper status of the system prior to processing.
SAFER FOR BOTH OPERATOR AND SPECIMEN
The LOGOS EVO is the reliable approach to processing, utilizing up-to-date technologies to expedite and simplify the process without compromising quality. The entire system is designed to ensure a safe procedure for the operator and optimal protection of the specimen. The LOGOS EVO eliminates water contamination and reduces carry-over via two separate flow paths to handle water-based and alcohol-based solutions. This feature extends the lifetime of reagents whilst securing the preservation of the specimens. LOGOS EVO provides high quality processing for all tissue types, including Supermega cassettes and fatty tissues. The protocols used in LOGOS EVO ensure optimal morphological and molecular preservation and have been validated and in use in hundreds of pathology labs worldwide.
Reliable tracking of biospecimens is essential for patient safety – for the full case documentation and Quality Control. The MileWATCH software ensures the sample’s “chain of custody”, starting from the specimen’s collection in the Surgical Theatre and continuing throughout the Pathology Laboratory up untll the tissue has been completely processed. Along the same line, the Milestone R-Tracker, an automatic rack scanner, allows for automatic and fast detection of 70 cassettes’ codes in just 15 seconds thus providing and collecting all relevant information on each case ID.
